THANET BUSINESS SUPPORT PROGRAMME
Ramsgate Space CIC is delivering a business support series as part of the Thanet Business Support Programme, on behalf of Thanet District Council and funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The series is designed to support businesses across the Thanet district with practical training, specialist advice and growth opportunities.
Running from December 2025 to March 2026, the programme will take place across Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate, offering a diverse and accessible calendar of activity.

BOSS Network Breakfast: Funding & Investment for Business Growth
This breakfast networking session will focus on funding and investment opportunities for local businesses, exploring the funding routes available and how to prepare your business for investment. Attendees will gain practical insight into accessing financial support for growth, including an overview of the Kent & Medway Business Fund (0% interest loan) and support available through the Kent & Medway Growth Hub.
The session forms part of the B.O.S.S networking programme and is led by Sue Berdo, Business Investment, Kent County Council, and is suitable for local entrepreneurs, start-ups and established businesses seeking to understand their funding options and connect with peers.

Delivered by Lisa Young from Let’s Do Business, the session focuses on finance options for small businesses. It will cover common reasons businesses seek finance, the types of funding available, what funders look for, and how simple cashflow forecasting can support better decisions.

Core Business Skills: Developing a Funding Plan for your Business
This hands-on workshop helps pre-start entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small businesses create a clear, realistic funding plan. You’ll explore funding options, learn what funders look for, and work through a simple framework to define how much you need, what it’s for, and where to find it. You’ll leave with a draft one-page funding plan and practical tools to use straight away. Delivered by Ramsgate Space CIC as part of the Thanet Business Support Programme, funded by Thanet District Council.

Assessment
Continuous assessment by trainer, practical assessments to cover wound management, care of an unconscious casualty, CPR and a multiple choice paper
